About
There are better ways to plan for the weather than your device’s generic weather app! Learn how to find the weather answers you’re really looking for in this talk with meterologist Joe Martucci. You’ll even learn how to make a short-term forecast yourself, without even using the internet.
Joe Martucci has been the meteorologist for The Press of Atlantic City since 2017, covering the Jersey Shore and South Jersey. Transforming weather in media, Joe is the only meteorologist at a newspaper in New Jersey. Joe produces twice daily video forecasts using state-of-the-art equipment, a daily written weather column, the national “Across the Sky” weather podcast and more. Joe was born, raised, and has only worked in the Garden State.
Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Rutgers University. Joe is a 10-time New Jersey Press Association Award winner, and has been featured nationally in The New Yorker and the Deadliest Catch. He earned the American Meteorological Society’s first Certified
Digital Meteorologist Seal in 2023, adding to his Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal. Both seals, awarded by America’s biggest professional weather organization, are given to those with exceptional knowledge and communication of weather to the public.
