Beachside Science at Surfside: Horseshoe Crabs – Living Fossils at the Beach

Free

About

Every spring at the shore, our beaches get visited by a living fossil – the Horseshoe Crab!

During this presentation, led by Erin Rawls from The Wetlands Institute, we’ll meet and learn all about the Horseshoe Crab – and discuss why so many animals rely on them to survive (including humans), as well as the research and conservation efforts here at The Wetlands Institute.

Event is being held in partnership with the Avalon Environmental Commission.

If inclement weather occurs, this event will be moved inside adjacent Avalon Community Hall.
