Bay Atlantic Symphony: “Tangos, Temptation, & Theater: Latin Rhythms of the Americas”

Sensual sounds, contemporary rhythms and harmonies from the Americas will fill the air in this special event, featuring a quartet of soloists for the Brazilian Suite Retratos.

Fabio Oliveira solos on the magical sounds of the marimba with a Brazilian Regional group that includes a 4-string Cavaquinho, a 7-string Guitar, the Brazilian Pandeiro frame-drum, in addition to a 9-piece string ensemble.

The evening’s program is brimming with melodies and sounds well familiar to families in Avalon, from West Side Story, to recent Disney films (Encanto, Coco) – as well as less familiar but immediately-enticing sounds of Panamanian Dances.
