Each year, the Avalon Garden Club observes National Arbor Day by planting a tree in Avalon.

This year, a “White Oak Tree” will be planted.

The public is invited to join in this special tradition and celebration, taking place at 48th Street and Dune Drive (at the traffic island). Mayor John McCorristin will also be participating in this year’s ceremony, and a representative from the Avalon Environmental Commission will be the event’s guest speaker.

In the case of inclement weather, event will be held at the 39th Street Tennis Building (across from the History Center).
