Avalon Brew Pub
The Avalon Brew Pub offers happy hour specials Monday through Thursday from 5 to 7 pm, and weeknight specials Monday through Thursday from 5 to 9 pm this time of year – in addition to a full-dining menu and in-house brews. Stop by (or stick around) on Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 pm to enjoy a night of trivia and break up your workweek.
If you step outside the Brew Pub and into the Sandbar Village, and you’ll notice an ice skating rink! The ICONA Avalon Ice Skating Rink is open to the public every Friday to Sunday this winter until the end of February, with 90-minute passes for $10 (includes skate rental).
Find a seat outside the rink near first-come, first-served fire pits and heaters, and warm up with seasonal favorites from the bar, like hot cocoa and signature winter cocktails. You can also order food from the Brew Pub’s takeout menu, and they’ll bring it right to your spot in the Sandbar.
Fred’s Tavern
Fred’s Tavern has a cozy fireplace lit in the winter months, and offers daily food specials and beers on tap with rotating seasonal selections and local brews. There’s also a juke box in the corner to play some favorite tunes in a casual, friendly setting over some good old-fashioned food and conversation.
Harbor Square Theatre
Harbor Square Theatre is definitely not your average movie theater.
While you can catch the latest movies and box office releases at Harbor Square Theatre throughout the year,… occasionally, you can find a retro movie showing here in the off-season – like “Gremlins,” “It’s a Wonderful Life,” or “The Breakfast Club.”
The Theatre also features a variety of entertainment throughout the winter months, including comedy shows and live stage performances.

Plan to get here early – you’ll want to take advantage of the pre-fixe menu from 4 – 5:30 pm, and happy hour specials at the bar from 4- 6 pm.
SAX at The Reeds
SAX Lounge features live music from local talents on a range of instruments, from guitar to violin, throughout the winter from Wednesdays into the weekends, starting from 7 pm.
There’s also happy hour specials in the SAX Lounge every Monday through Thursday, from 4 – 6 pm.
