Parking in Stone Harbor

Free parking is available near Stone Harbor beaches at the following locations:

• public parking lot on 94th Street and Second Avenue

• Stone Harbor Point Parking Lot at 122nd Street and the beach (from 122nd to 123rd Streets)

• beachfront parking spaces from 80th to 83rd Streets

Residential parking is usually free, but may be limited near business districts or condo residences where metered parking may exist.

There is a metered beachfront parking lot on 95th Street (from 95th to 96th Streets). These meters are in effect from May 1 through October 1, 10 am to 5 pm.

Beach Access & Closures

All accesses to beaches in Stone Harbor are in the interest of public safety.

Due to storm events and beach erosion, access at a particular beach path may, at times, be closed until the beach or path is repaired.

Handicap Ramps

Handicap ramps from the street to the beach can be found at the following locations:

• 80th, 83rd, 88th, 92nd, 95th, 101st, 103rd, 105th, 111th and 119th Streets

Wheelchair users can follow a path to the water’s edge at 95th Street.

More Access Points

There is access from the street beach entrance to the water’s edge at:

• 95th Street

• 119th Street

There is also access to pavilions leading onto the beach at:

• 89th Street

• 101st Street

Surf Chair Program

Surf chairs are beach chairs specifically designed for individuals who are physically challenged, and are available during the summer season (free of charge) on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Six surf chairs are available at the Beach Tag Office on 95th Street and the beach.

There is no charge for the chairs, but reservations are recommended. To reserve a surf chair, please call 609-368-6805.
