Stone Harbor Beach Opening Ceremony & Color Run
This beach opening ceremony and color fun run marks an annual Stone Harbor tradition where participants are showered with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at stations along a course that runs parallel to the ocean.
Runners begin dressed in clean white t-shirts that come out with some funky prints by the end of the course.
This non-timed event has no winners or prizes, and emphasizes fun over competition.

Turtle Trot 5K & 2-Mile Fun Walk
Contrary to its name, the Turtle Trot is a fast-course run through Stone Harbor’s scenic, residential neighborhoods, and has become a Memorial Day Weekend tradition for many runners, families and beach-loving outdoor enthusiasts!
As the name of this race is inspired by Stone Harbor’s beautiful Diamondback Terrapins crossing the town’s roads in search of an area to nest, the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce will be donating a portion of proceeds to the Diamondback Terrapin Program at The Wetlands Institute.
