Looking to Submit an Event on Our Site?
Here's What You Need to Know

- Events must be of interest to our readers and island or area visitors and residents, and must be open to the general public.
- Repeating events or series events may be submitted, but are generally limited in duration or scope - such as an art exhibit or farmer's market.
- Pop-up events that are open to the general public may be submitted.

Classes and camps on our Events Calendar are generally limited to select community recreation events and/ or require an upgraded listing with Premium Event add-on or bundle.
If you're interested in featuring your Class or Camp on our Premium Events & Search Pages, please contact us so new audiences can find your events and start booking. -
Tours are generally limited to select community recreation events and/ or require an upgraded listing with Premium Event add-on or bundle.
If you're operating any Tours and would like yours featured on our Premium Events & Search Pages, please contact us so our audiences can match their interests and start booking. -
Live music or entertainment at your venue (including DJs' schedules and any non-ticketed performances) are welcome on our calendar!
We also have Premium Events & Search Pages to highlight such events, so please contact us to attract new audiences and engage loyal fans. -
Shows and ticketed events may be submitted, but are generally limited for publishing to our Events Calendar and/ or require an upgraded listing with Premium Event add-on or bundle.
If you're offering any Shows or ticketed events and would like yours featured on our Premium Events & Search Pages, please contact us so our audiences can plan around your events and start booking. - Food-related events that tend to draw large crowds, such as Stone Harbor's Savor September event, may be submitted to our calendar.
- Shopping-centric events may be submitted if more than one business is involved (such as Shop-A-Holics, or community sidewalk sales events).

Fitness-related events are currently limited to fundraising or charity events, and select community recreation events.
However, if you're a gym or studio owner who's interested in adding a pop-up finess event or featuring your classes or schedule on our Premium Events & Search Pages, please contact us to get your Classes or Camps added for more bookings. - Each event posted on our calendar requires a featured image. Only submit photos, images and media you own the rights to! Images should be free of text and watermarks. If poster ads are submitted, all information must be written out in the event description or other event detail sections.
- No general shopping sales, accommodation packages, or dining or drink specials are allowed for submission to our events calendar. (But we DO have other places where you can be featured or advertised! Contact us to inquire.)
- No town council, planning/ zoning board, commission or similar meetings are allowed for submission to our events calendar.
- Fundraiser events must benefit local nonprofits involved in historic preservation, wildlife/ nature preservation, and topics of interest to our readers.
- All submissions are reviewed and handled on a case-by-case basis to determine appropriateness and best fit for our intended audience, platform(s), and business in accordance with these guidelines. Any exceptions will be considered and handled on a case-by-case basis, and we reserve the right to reject or refuse to post content, as well as remove content, that violates our Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate by us, in our sole discretion, at any time and for any reason.
- All submissions are subject to editing and approval.
